Hi Chris,
you can copy the resource (don't create a sibling) in one of the systems. Then delete the original file and rename the copy to the originals file name (or whatever name you like). Important is that you copy the resource and delete the original in order to get a new resource id.

Kai

Betreff: [opencms-dev] resource ID clash

Hello list,

I'm exporting into a database file (.zip) from one system into another and during importing I'm getting an error:

Caused by: org.opencms.file.CmsVfsResourceAlreadyExistsException: Error creating a resource at location "/download/Course_1.pdf". There is already a resource at location "/sites/company/download/CoursePlan_2.pdf" with the same id "2a07cbd2-5778-11df-99ca-0015f2583fcd".

Is there a way to rename a resource?
