now I changed it with
<mapping element="Categoria" mapto="propertyList:collector.categories" />
but no luck still collector.categories =
/sites/default/_categories/pubblicazioni/collane-periodiche/,/sites/default/_categories/pubblicazioni/interventi-del-presidente/,/sites/default/_categories/pubblicazioni/rapporti-annuali/assicurazione-italiana/
separated with "," and not pipe  where am I wrong?

Is it normal?
