[opencms-dev] Java 7 compatiblilty of OpenCms 7.5

Hi,

my company uses OpenCms 7.5.4 + OCEE 2.1.4 at the moment. An upgrade to OpenCms 9 is planned for some time later this year.

Until then, I need to keep the current system running. However, we have decided to finally switch to Java 7 VMs for all applications, and our OpenCms is one of the last remaining applications to be switched.

So I would like to know whether anyone has tried building and/or running OpenCms 7.5 in a Java 7 VM and if there are any problems to be expected. Is it possible at all?
