thanks. Yes, the message was a bit misleading, to me at least). I thought, the java parameter was set and might be in the way.
Since tomcat6.exe is run as a service under Windows, ( "C:\Programme\Apache_Group\Tomcat 6.0.32\bin\tomcat6.exe" //RS//Tomcat6)
I'm not sure, whether it is started via catalina.bat.
