[opencms-dev] OpenCms 9.0.1: Cms Login

Hi Thomas,

1. OpenCms looks up the startup folder (found in user settings as well)

2. (that is just a guess) in opencms-vfs.xml is a node
                               <defaultfiles>
                                               <defaultfile name="index.html" />
                                               <defaultfile name="index.jsp" />
                               </defaultfiles>
I guess, those are the files OpenCms looks for, when the property “default-file” of your navigation folder is not set.
So what OpenCms does is, it looks up the startup site, startup folder and – when using direct edit mode as startup view – the default-file, and renders that page.

If you do not want to open up the direct edit view as default, you may change the default setting in opencms-workplace.xml in the <workplace-startupsettings> node. But note, that each user can change that setting by himself.

HTH
Best regards
Kai

Hi Sven,

thanks, point 2 is solved following your suggestion. But why is direct editing doing that?

Best wishes,
Thomas

Hello Thomas,

to the second point, have a look in the preferences under the heading „workplace“. There you find the Startup Settings, maybe the setting of the „Start with view“ is set to direct editing.

With best regards
