[opencms-dev] cannot edit jsp source code - fck editor loops

Hi Chris, here is some correction:

 

Better way is export resources from folders (from OpenCms 8.x):

 

/system/workplace/editors/editarea/

/system/workplace/resources/editors/editarea/

 

And import it to the OpenCms 7.x. You can také this files from Alkacon´s GitHub.

 

Because there are some module dependencies in the new verison of module and you can see some errors in log. By this way you will just update Editor files (JS, CSS etc.) and everything works well.

 

Important thing is clear browser cache (old scripts are loaded). Good luck.

it didn't help. I installed the whole module as you sent it. 
FCK-editor still has this looping behaviour.

I tried to apply the patch (exchanged the three files in /system/workplace/editors/editarea) but the problem in Firefox persists.

i tried it now and it looks better. It resolved some another problems in Chrome… After the change you need to delete browser cache (older scripts stay loaded).

we have same problem in OpenCms 7 in Firefox.

 

We didn´t solved it until now, but i think it´s caused by old EditArea editor. We hape OpenCms 8 and there is everything OK. I looked in to the javascripts in module „org.opencms.editors.editarea“ and code looks newer. So we will try update this module (i mean install module from OpenCms 8 in to the OpenCms 7). But there can be some another dependecies, i can´t say now it will workJ

 

I´ll try it and give you info (today evening).

I have a problem with editing source code of a .JSP file in modules/org.company.frontend/elements/some.jsp

When I click on Edit Source Code, the fck-editor loops end never ends. The horizontal (!) scroll bar is decreasing
permanently. Using the vertical scroll bar to scroll to the end doesn't work because the editor always jumps back to the beginning.

When I switch (in the default settings) to the simple page editor, I can edit the JSP.

Strange.
