[opencms-dev] Publishing (via CmsShell?)

I'm doing some checking of documentation at the moment (held in Git on
the local file system) and after making corrections would like to
publish the file directly to the online instance, if only to prevent the
possibility of going over the same ground more than once. Can anyone
suggest a way of doing that without having to do it any laborious way?
I'm currently copying into the vfs then going into Explorer and
publishing, which is painful.
