Hi Christoph, 

what do you mean by "control OpenCms"? 
If you mean "Can the OpenCms plugin used with remote OpenCms machines", then you should read this hint:

Betreff: [opencms-dev] trying to setup IntelliJ and OpenCMS remotely

The following situation:

An OpenCMS 9.5.0 site resides on an intranet server and I would like to develop, control and use it from within the IntelliJ IDE.

Is it possible to have OpenCMS installed on the Intranet server and control it via IntelliJ from my notebook?
(with running IntelliJ on the notebook?) Or do I have to run IntelliJ also on the Intranet server (forcing me to open the intranet server, which is a VM, in a remote session).
