[opencms-dev] No opencms.log file in version 9.5?

I debugged the code and found that in org.opencms.search.solr.CmsSolrIndex under the search method line# 618 they have the following line:

query.setHighlight(false);

I changed it to true and it worked. Now I am wondering if this was done with a specific reason in mind or if it was an oversight. Regardless, highlighting is hard-coded not to work ever regardless of what parameters you pass in the search query.

Yeah, as I mentioned in this thread - the log is now written to the Tomcat's root directory under the name: opencms_init.log

Hi Tom,

I have the same problem on my OpenCms 9.5 installation on Windows 7, Apache Tomcat 7.0.42.
Similar problem has been notified by Christoph Kukulies in this mailing list (see email "setting up proper logging (log4j) in opencms 9.5.0 on 5 January 2015).

Have you solved the issue?
Someone else has encountered the same problem?
