Hello Chris,
AFAIK it has never been like that.
But I think, it would be a nice new feature to have a new checkbox in the database export view that says "export related resources".
Let's see, what OpenCms X will bring to us.
Looking forward to seeing you all at the OpenCms Days.
Best regards
Kai

Betreff: [opencms-dev] exporting database doesn't transport .content

I have the following configuration here:

Intranetserver - Editors are working on that one
Internetserver - gets updated (manually) by exporting the Intranetserver into a .ZIP file

Today I was wondering why certain contents simply did not appear when I exported selectively a subtree from the Intranet to the Interner server.

I took the /en/company/subfolder into the ZIP files and exported it as I was used formerly in OpenCms 7.x but the content didn't appear until I found that I explicitly have to export the /.content folder as well (!)

Maybe this is obvious to you OpenCms guys but to me it wasn't evident until I had to make this experience once. I always thought the contents being linked somehow to the files/pages in the subfolders by some magic.

This may have been so in the pre-8.x era, right?
