Hi

You must use a content type for the footer content. Then in the content formatter config make in non-searchable by unchecking the check box for searchable.

Hope this helps.

Regards
Honey

Subject: [opencms-dev] Exclude part of container page from search

Hi,

Is there a way to exclude some parts of a container page from being indexed
in Opencms 9.5.3. For example, if i have certain elements that occur on the
footer of many pages, and I need to exclude such elements from being
indexed, what would be the appropriate way to go about it?

Cheers,
Kiran
