Thank you for replying.
Have you actually tried this out, or are you only suggesting a possibility?
The resolveMapping method has other functionalities with references to
classes that are inside the same package and it uses methods that are not
visible outside that package. for eg. there is a CmsMappingResolutionContext
object used which calls the addUrlNameMapping method which is not visible
outside the package.
