Hey Patric,
Thanks for trying. Unfortunately we are on v9.0.1, and was hoping someone checked the Java 8 and PostgreSQL 9.2 that's native to CentOS 7. I will update this thread if we proceed and try this out ourselves.

Regards,
Murali

Hey,

I can try to help...
I know this http://documentation.opencms.org/opencms-documentation/server-installation/tested-software-versions/ (valid for OpenCms 10.5)
We have running a project with PostgreSQL 9.4.

And I know that not all databases are compatible with the upgrade wizard.
>> IMPORTANT: The updater is only compatible with the database engines MySQL, Oracle and PostgreSQL.

And Java8 is added in 9.5.3 http://www.opencms.org/en/news/160113-opencms-v953-releasenotes.html

Regards, Patric

Betreff: Re: [opencms-dev] OpemCMS 9.0.1 software version requirements

Good Morning!
I have a query that I am hoping you can help!
We are preparing to upgrade the CentOS that hosts OpenCMS 9.0.1 application from v5 to v7. As you may be aware, CentOS 7 comes with Apache 2.4.6, Tomcat 7, Java 8 and PostgreSQL 9.2. Looking at the release notes http://www.opencms.org/en/news/140206-opencms-v901-releasenotes.html, we are clear that v9.0.1 is compatible with Tomcat 7. However we could not see any information on others (there is some info in general but not specific to versions, other than Java7), so can you please let us know if OpenCMS version 9.0.1 is compatible with:
- CentOS7
- Apache 2.4.6
- Java 8 and
- PostgreSQL 9.2

Any help you can offer will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Murali
