Hello David,
in short. The UUID is for link management. Aussume, that someone renames or moves an image which is used in several pages.
The UUID stays the same. So OpenCms can still find the image.

Best regards
Kai

Betreff: [opencms-dev] UUID's in a XML-Page

Hello all,

In my XML-Page, I have content that is associated with an uuid.
Why would I need this uuidt?
Is it to distinguish tags with the same name from each other?

[cid:image001.gif at 01D3734C.6A1DE850]

The page is shown correctly, I am just curious!

Thanks a lot,
David
