Hello Asger,
in the administration view is a point for the configuration of the history. You can do quite some settings there. Including disabling the history at all. I currently do not know what this means for the history tables.
HTH
Best regards
Kai

Betreff: [opencms-dev] Cleaning up CMS_PUBLISH_HISTORY

Hi,

We have accrued some 20 mio entries in the CMS_PUBLISH_HISTORY table, but I'm not sure what the proper way of cleaning it is, and what consequences it could have.
Does anyone have any experiences on this?

Background:
We do a publish from another system 4 times a day, and its techincally complete overwrites every time. There are no users editing data in this instance. It seems to grow by 1.5 mio records pr month.
