[opencms-dev] PDF file destroys search result

Hi A.,
we faced this problem as well and just removed the excerpt of PDF files in the search result list.
It is not a proper solution but was OK for us.

Hi,
does anybody have experience that pdf files can destroy the search result? We use OpenCMS 10.5.4 with the code from OpenCMS (config jsp-search-00001.xml with formatter jsp-search-formatter.jsp).
Problem: The snippet length is not maintained and it is almost the entire file in the output.

In the formatter i found this:

"<%-- The import is only necessary to avoid highlighting snippets that destroy the HTML structure --%>"
<%@ page import="org.opencms.util.CmsHtmlConverter"%>
>>

...but despite i get the problem.
