[opencms-dev] OpenCms 11.0 Beta 2 is available

Dear OpenCms Users,

OpenCms 11 Beta 2 is now available for Download!

In Beta 2 we have finally removed all legacy workplace modules, leaving only two core modules. In case you have old workplace extensions still requiring some of the removed dependencies, you can install the optional 'legacy support‘ modules and most stuff should work as before.

OpenCms 11 brings a major update for the workplace providing better usability and performance. Further enhancements include automated image generation, core support for dynamic contents lists and meta-mappings for SEO. 

OpenCms 11 also supports Java 11.

The Beta provides you with a comprehensive overview about OpenCms 11. 
Try this pre-release version before OpenCms 11.0.0 is published, which is expected by the end of March 2019.

OpenCms 11 also features many improvement for template generation. However, the template in this 11 Beta release is the unchanged demo template from version 10.5.x. We are currently working on an updated demo template, which will be ready when OpenCms 11.0.0 ships.
