thank you very much for your question. It is difficult to answer your question. It is not very precise.
I assume you mean if files could be stored outside of a DBMS. If that is your question, the answer is no.
There is a plan for the next release of OpenCms to use another repository to store files.
It is said, that this release will arrive sometime this year. The people from Alkacon could only give a precise answer to when the release date will be.
