Kai,

Regarding the file repository:

I assume with the „plan“ you mean the „OpenCms NG“ approach we introduced during the last OpenCms Days. 
The idea was to use Apache Jackrabbit Oak as content repository for OpenCms.

We did put considerable resources into this development in the last years. 
But unfortunately we where not able to achieve sufficient backward compatibility to older OpenCms versions with this approach.
Moreover, none of the customers we closely work with have shown any interest whatsoever in this approach.

We have stopped working on the new repository implementation a while back.

Currently we do not anymore actively pursue the idea to switch the OpenCms repository technology.
We may pick up the idea again in the future, but certainly not for the next OpenCms release 12.

So this means the OpenCms DB repository will not be changed anytime soon.
