[opencms-dev] Setup Amazon SES to mail configuration opencms-system.xml

  1.  Thanks!! Amazon SES gives access to this ports:

SMTP Port—25, 587, or 2587 (to connect using STARTTLS), or 465 or 2465 (to connect using TLS Wrapper).

Can anyone from Alkacon confirm that it’s not possible sending e-mails over TLS??

Hello Ramon,

i'm not 100% sure if that still applies, but as i know OpenCms doesn't support sending e-mails over TLS. So you can try connect to Amazon's SMTP using different unsecured port (if is it supported).

Otherwise, OpenCms modification is required.

How do you configure de mail server in opencms-system.xml config file?

I have tried the above, but always got error:

Sending the email to the following server failed : email-smtp.eu-west-1.amazonaws.com:587
220 Ready to start TLS

Could not convert socket to TLS
No appropriate protocol (protocol is disabled or cipher suites are inappropriate)

Am I missing something y mailhost configuration?

May be security element? Different port?
