[opencms-dev] OpenCms and Java Licensing

Hello fellow OpenCms developers,

Happy new year to you all!
I’m starting a new OpenCms project and I wonder how the new Oracle Java Licensing system affects OpenCms.
Are you using more recent Java versions like 11 or are you still using good old Java 8?
Has anyone used OpenJDK with OpenCms?
Is there any official word from Alkacon concerning that topic?
