Hello Atle,
I just rechecked what I wrote last time to see if I missed something,
but after following all the steps on a clean system here, it did work.
So there are a few things that you should check:
- After you created everything, switched to your site and clicked on the
index.html there, did you get a page like this:
The red box is the placeholder where you can pull your contents to
- When you click on the "new" wizard, and scroll down the list, do you
get your custom content "mycontent" that is not striked out like the
other ones. Can you Drag&Drop it with the drag symbol (the nine dots)?
If the content cannot be dragged&dropped, this could have several reasons:
- The container type defined in the formatter does not match the
containers on your template. If no matching container can be found, the
content is disables (striked out).
- If you have modified the schema and/or the formatter jsp, it might be
that there is a syntax error in it, if so, the content can also not be
dragged into the page. But then you should check the opencms.log logfile.
What you can do to test if your schema is correct:
- Switch into the explorer view into your site "1408"
- Use the new Wizard and select "Content elements" in the drop down box.
Al available content types are shown there and you own "MyContent" is
listed there at the bottom. (Note: if you have not published your
module, it is still shown with the name "??? type.emycontent.name ???".)
- Select it by clicking on it, create a new resource and try to edit it.
Does this work?
Kind regards,
Michael

>> - The new wizard also shows all content type of the Mercury demo, but they cannot be pulled into your template as they do not math the container in it. Of course you can configure your system that those contents do not appear in your site, but I just wanted to stick to the basic steps here.
>> Hope this helps.
> It helped a lot, but from * and out it does not work. The content type is there, but it is not possible to drag content into the red space, it is only possible to mark the specified content type with nowhere to do furter actions with it.
