[opencms-dev] Issue with Tabs EditPoint Visibility

Hi Daniel,
Thanks for the pointer and the link — much appreciated.
For the thread: editableby wasn't the cause in our case. The real issue was the
Element view setting on the a-tabs resource type, found in the module's .config
file at /system/modules/org.opencms.apollo.template.tabs/.config. It was set to
System elements, which requires Admin-level access — so the Tabs EditPoint was
filtered out for the Editor-role users, even though nested content inside the
tabs (under "Content elements") remained editable.
Changing Element view to Content elements and republishing the .config fixed it.
One question though — since this is a module-level setting, it applies across
all sites using this tabs template. Is there any major downside or risk to
changing this Element view sitewide, or is it generally safe to leave a-tabs on
"Content elements" going forward?
Thanks again for the help narrowing this down.
Best regards,
Nivedita
