Hi everyone,

I'm creating multiple school websites from a common template in OpenCms and
would like to know whether my approach is correct or if I'm missing something.

Scenario 1 – Preparing the template

I have a template website that contains an en language subsite.

To create the Hindi version (hi), I copy the en folder using:

* Copy mode: Create folders, create siblings for all files

After the copy, I change the locale of the hi folder to Hindi.

At this point, everything works as expected.

Scenario 2 – Creating a school from the template

Now, when I create a new school website (for example, school-1) from the
template, I copy the entire template using:

* Copy mode: Copy files, adjust all internal links

My expectation is that school-1 should be a completely independent copy of the
template.

However, after creating school-1, if I make changes in school-1, those changes
are also reflected in the original template. In other words, school-1 and the
template are not independent copies.

Is this the expected behavior or is there a different/recommended way to create
indepentent copies of the websites from template having multilingual sub-sites?

Any guidance would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks & Regards

Nivedita
