Dear opencms devs,<BR>

using the cvs version (5.3.6+), what is the proper way for a module to obtain a connection from OpenCMS' connection pool and therefore perform SQL queries ?<BR>

Is it also possible to retrieve the current db type so that it is possible to have custom versions of the scripts for the different dbs (MySQL, Oracle, etc)<BR>
