<br><font size=2 face="sans-serif">Hi Joe and </font><font size=2><tt>Saeed</tt></font>
<br>
<br><font size=2 face="sans-serif">That is a really good idea.</font>
<br><font size=2 face="sans-serif">I Use the synchronize feature and it
works great. Its really nice that the folders for synchronization has become
user-specific in R6.</font>
<br>
<br><font size=2 face="sans-serif">I use eclipse to develop java and jsp-pages
for my modules.</font>
<br>
<br><font size=2 face="sans-serif">My project structure in eclipse is like
this:</font>
<br>
<br><font size=2 face="sans-serif">/src/module
<- My java-files</font>
<br><font size=2 face="sans-serif">/vfs
<- the folder to sync with from OCMS</font>
<br><font size=2 face="sans-serif">/vfs/system/modules/#modulename#/lib
<- Here i put my jar's</font>
<br><font size=2 face="sans-serif">/vfs/system/modules/#modulename#/classes
<- This is my output folder for
/src/module</font>
<br>
<br><font size=2 face="sans-serif">In that way Eclipse puts the compiled
class-files, and property-files, in the right place. And all foldes from
VFS added to the sync-list in OCMS gets put in the /vfs folder of my eclipse
project durin sync.</font>
<br>
<br><font size=2 face="sans-serif">Note: When you put new class- or property
files to the VFS. Always remember to publish and restart the servlet-container.</font>
<br>
<br><font size=2 face="sans-serif">I use this feature during development
of a module on my local machine. When done, I export the module from my
local OCMS to a file and imports it on a testing enviroment. And it just
works fine everytime.</font>
<br>
<br><font size=2 face="sans-serif">The only thing i miss about this way
of developing (and you could consider this as a feature request) is a per
module configuration-xml-file, so resource- and explorertypes cold be synchronized
along with the files of a module. That would clearly ease team-developing
of OCMS modules. But one could wonder: How does the developers of OCMS
do themselves, when developing modules?</font>
<br><font size=2 face="sans-serif">(And now is the time to spank me if
this feature already exists :-)</font>
<br>
<br><font size=2 face="sans-serif">I hope this helps someone on the issue
of how to develop modules from outside OCMS.</font>
<br><font size=2 face="sans-serif"><br>
Best regards and good luck<br>
