hi,
thanks for the reply abt reviving from the opencms breakdown.
I had the s/w reinstalled, since i'm still trying out the s/w,i hadnt any imp resources.
But i have a new problem, with the access permissions.
I have created users, whom i have assigned to the project managers grp
and another grp called grp1(whose parent is the project managers
grp).My problem is i'm unable to access the system folder with these
logins, unless i assign the users to administrators grp,in which case
they are able to access all pages, irrespective of the restrictions
assigned to them for particular web pages
could u pls help me out with this,i want to know wht grps do i
assign to these users that they could access the workplace,at the same
time,i cud restrict their access to the folders i dont want them to
access.

Hi

did you move the "/system" folder in the opencms workplace? If you did
that, then you have probably destroyed the workplace, because the
workplace "lives" in that folder.

If you have precious resources in the system, you can export them with
the opencms shell.
Its directly in the WEB-INF directory of opencms.

You can use it to export your opencms files into a zip file which you
can then import into a working system again.
