Yes, yes - it is the same war file for all plattforms. <br>
Opencms is written in Java, so it can be used on any platform that
supports a modern version of Java. Opencms is not dependent on a
special operating system.<br>

What you need for installing opencms is:<br>
- java 1.5 or higher (definitely exists for Solaris, because Solaris is
from Sun and Java also is from Sun)<br>
- a supported database<br>
- a servlet container (e.g. Tomcat, which also works on any plattform
where you have java)<br>
