Content search performance</DIV>
<DIV><BR></DIV>
<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2>Hello List,</FONT></DIV>
<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2></FONT> </DIV>
<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2>In a OpenCms 6.2.3 system (migration to 7.x is
not possible for now) we are experiencing content search times that seem
really too long, but I don't have any other reference to compare
them.</FONT></DIV>
<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2></FONT> </DIV>
<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2>For example, one of the search indexes is defined
on a folder with roughly 1000 resources (mainly a mixture of HTML and PDF,
with a few XML structured content), and in a dedicated system the time needed
for CmsSearch.getSearchResult() + getting the results data is in the order of
10 seconds for around 100 results, and much longer as the number of results
grow.</FONT></DIV>
<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2></FONT> </DIV>
<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2>Is this kind of performance what we should
expect?</FONT></DIV>
<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2></FONT> </DIV>
<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2>If not, I must say that I already browsed all
available OpenCms documentation and forums about improving search performance
or common mistakes related to it, with no luck, so c</FONT><FONT face=Arial

<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2></FONT> </DIV>
<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2>Thanks very much,</FONT></DIV>
