I had the problem again just a minute ago:<br>

After loggin in to the admin interface I was opening an article
throught the context menu "edit". While the new browser window was
opening opencms encountered a connection pool timeout.<br>
<br>
I checked the logs of apache, opencms, tomcat and mysql and could not
find any traces of the 500 server error that was returned to the
browser.<br>
Restarting the opencms context (not tomcat) did solve the problem (wget
--spider <a class="moz-txt-link-rfc2396E" href="http://***:***@***/manager/html/reload?path=/opencms">"http://***:***@***/manager/html/reload?path=/opencms"</a>)<br>

As I have not altered the out of the box connection pool settings
(except for the IP address) I do assume that someone placed a bad
easter egg in the connection pool.<br>

There are different exceptions popping up but they are alwasy caused by
an exception in the connection pool. As there is just low traffic on my
system and these issues occurrences are to be measured in weeks or
months I did not further investigate them. <br>
