This is true and I also pointed this out in a previous message here
that these logfiles clobber tomcats root directory. Not very nice.<br>
But actually it is opencms.log which seems to have disappeared and
I believe (not sure though) that the output goes into one of<br>
tomcats various stdout/stderr/localhost files. <br>

I have the same problem on my OpenCms 9.5 installation on
Windows 7, Apache Tomcat 7.0.42.<br>
Similar problem has been notified by Christoph Kukulies in
this mailing list (see email "setting up proper logging
(log4j) in opencms 9.5.0 on 5 January 2015).<br>

Have you solved the issue?<br>
Someone else has encountered the same problem?<br>
