            – it doesn’t have to be THE Admin account. <o:p></o:p></span></p>

            broke because of a failed upgrade. A production site, even
            ... not my finest hour..! x) After a nerve-racking hour of
            rolling back, I checked the logs to find out what went wrong
            with the upgrade. (After all, on the surface, everything
            seemed OK during the upgrade.) It turned out I had provided
            an incorrect password for the Admin account – which I
            thought I *had* to use. <o:p></o:p></span></p>

            but looks like nothing’s changed much. Would be nice if the
            upgrade procedure could check the validity of the
            user/password *before* attempting to run the upgrade – and
            stop, providing a clear “can’t continue” message, if the
            given user/password doesn’t authenticate, or if the account
            doesn’t have the required privileges.</span></p>
