Running opencms in apaches tomcat is extemely slowThe administration of
OpenCMS is very slow. I asked this question a month ago. Someone answered:
"buy a 1 GHz Firebird and your problems will disappear". It probably has
nothing to do with your configuration

Subject: [opencms-dev] Running opencms in apaches tomcat is extemely slow

  Hi

I am trying to run opencms in apache's tomcat servlet runner on RedHat
6.2. It runns OK when viewing the examples but is extremely slow when
administrating the site.

Opencms run OK when running in tomcat on windows, although it is still
quite slow while administrating the site.
Is this possbily because tomcat uses a latter version of the servlet API
than JServ.

I have also tried to run opencms under Allaire's JRun on linux.
Administrating the site is extremely slow. There appears to be threading
problems in opencms running on liunx with the latest version of the srevlet
API. I am using version 4.0.30 of opencms
