hey, that's just what you wanted!  You see only the folders you have the
acces rights on!

you can't do that until you are working inside a "project"

I'm pretty new to OpenCMS too (installed it yesterday) but as far as I
know you have to login as administrator to create a project (admin admin
is the default administrator).

There are already 3 docs available from the homepage on the 1st
paragraph, the first one is a gentle introduction and it was enought to
get me started:
