[opencms-dev] question concerning VFS

Hello List,

there is one question for me concerning the Virtual File System (VFS) in
OpenCms.
All Resources are hold in the database by the VFS. When I run OpenCms for a
web site with a download area conaining lots of files (pdfs, zip files,...)
all these files will be stored in the database. That may cause problems
because of size limits and performance of a db, i.e. mysql.
Is it possible to handle those files via OpenCms but keep it outside the
database?
