[opencms-dev] Char encoding

Hi,

All the components needed for OpenCMS are installed on Debian Linux server.

The character_set parameter for mySQL database is latin1 (ISO-8859-1).

OpenCMS server version is 4.6.

In the database, the character é or è was stored correctly.
But when i browse this text, an ? character was displayed.

Has the resourcebroker.mysql.digest.fileencoding in the opencms.properties
file any effect ?

Any help was appreciated.
