[opencms-dev] charset problems

Hi Nico and Thomas,

we have the same Umlaut-encoding problem here
(jdk 1.4.1 + opencms 5beta2 + tomcat 4.1)

> -Dfile.encoding=ISO8859_1
> You can set the environment varibale CATALINA_OPTS to do so. 
> (CATALINA_OPTS=-Dfile.encoding=ISO8859_1)
I tried that but makes no difference here...

This is my cmd-line:

CATALINA_OPTS=-Dfile.encoding=ISO8859_1; 
JAVA_HOME="/usr/lib/j2sdk1.4.1_01/" ./catalina.sh start
