[opencms-dev] Navigation question

Hi there,
I already succeeded in several things with opencms, but I can't find a way to build a simple navigation which does the following things. I think it is not possible, is it?

I've got documents (main navigation entries):
1
2
3

And there are documents on a sub level:
1.1
1.2
1.3

2.1
2.2

and so on.

If 1 is the current document I want to show 
1
1.1
1.2
1.3
2
3

but not 2.1 and 2.2 !

How to get this result?
Have I overlooked something or do I really need to build a java "navigation module" for this behaviour? 

Any adivce is welcome!
