[opencms-dev] Which type of realm OpenCms uses?

Please pardon me for this newbie question. Which type of realm OpenCms
uses?
 
I think it should be JDBCRealm. Then why do I not find the JDBCRealm
part uncommented in my Tomcat's server.xml file? Does OpenCms deals it
in some other way? I don't know of any other way and so confused?
