[opencms-dev] Staging support?

Hi!

I'm new to OpenCMS and currently trying to figure out if and how it'd be 
possible to run OpenCMS in a distributed environment in the following 
way: editors should work on content using an "intranet" installation and 
publish it to a public machine. As the content will be both static and 
dynamic, it is not possible to just use the "static export" feature.

Has anyone managed to set up an environment like this?
