[opencms-dev] newbie question

Hi,
I am newbie to opencms and not understanding few things.
I have a project running on Tomcat. I want to import this project to opencms 
and when need arises modify it and publish it back to tomcat or anyother 
server at the same context root. How can I accomplish this?
Also is it possible to unpublish an online project?
Any help is appreciated.
