[opencms-dev] getting the parent folder ?

Hi all,
 
I currently get the current folder within a jsp by using "CmsFolder
currentFolder = cms.getRequestContext().currentFolder();"
If I want to get the parent folder as a CmsFolder, how can it be done ? With
"currentFolder.getParent()" I only get a string...
What's the shortest path to the parent folder as CmsFolder ??
