[opencms-dev] Creating a Content Managment Application

Hi,

I'm new to Open CMS, just getting to know it a little, and as i usually
work with Vignette, i am wondering about some things:

- Can you create a content management application?. A web application to
upload files, write articles or inserting any other kind of content,
static or dynamic. What does Open CMS gives me to do this?. What i have
read is that you have to develop your own classes to access to the
content, but for example, using the workplace you can upload files, can
this upload be used outside the workplace?.

- What does Open CMS means when talking about personalization?. As far
as i have understood, it is just some kind of access control.
