[opencms-dev] Tomcat stucks

Dear all,

i have installed a Opencms site, with apache2 2.0.46, tomcat 4.1.18 with
mod_jk.

when my users do much jsp development (many comile errors occur the whole
day) it seems that tomcat is dead.

after about an hour, tomcat is back and the users can work with it again.

did anyone of you had the same problem or knows a solution ?

maybe a script, checking if tomcat is up, when not, killing all appropriate
java processes and restarting.
does anyone have such a script ?
