[opencms-dev] Umlaut character problems

We had a similar problem in a ColdFusion MX environment
and were able to solve it with the following URL parameters
for the jdbc connection string:
?useUnicode=true&characterEncoding=ISO-8859-1
Don't know if you can add this to your opencms.properties file
