[opencms-dev] SSI

I have a pure HTML website imported in opencms. The html pages use <!--#include virtual> statements. The problem is that it doesn't work even if I enabled SSI for the tomcat (and this is tested because teh ROOT application supports SSI now). I don't want to turn the files into jsps and also I would need to keep the current structure. So, how can I use SSI?
