[opencms-dev] Browser for editing on OSX?

ActiveX editor is a windows only thingy. So until a better
cross-platform solution comes up non-windows platforms we are out of
luck.
That said, Mozilla/Netscape (and probably other Gecko variants like
Camino) works fine with OpenCms, except the Explorer-tree (left-hand
side) is listed with a very small font-size (happens in other places as
well). And at least the source-code editor exhibits a much better
selection-behaviour compared to the ditto on Windows - just being able
to select a tag with getting the preceeding ">" character included in
the selection is a bliss :-)
There are issues with Safari - most obvious is the lacking linebreaks
in the right-hand side of the explorer view which renders it unusable -
font problem with the tree as for Mozilla, but the anti-aliasing in
Safari at least makes the text legible.
IE5, well, I haven't tested it and since even Microsoft has given up on
it (due to Apple's unfair advantage of having intimate knowledge of the
underlying operating system... go figure) it is pretty safe to assume
that there will never be a OS X port of their editor component...
