[opencms-dev] properties and rights

Does anyone know if properties are also associated with user rights ???
 
I'm having a really weird problem where I have created 2 properties for
JSPs. One of which can be read during publishing, and one which can't
and returns a null value.
 
Any help would be greatly appreciated here.
