Hi Tol,

Amazingly enough, in OpenCMS, when you create a resource of type .jsp you
can call it index.html! It will be processed as a .jsp, but it will also be
handled as the default document in a folder.

Rgds,

Subject: [opencms-dev] index.jsp don't start automatic

Hi @all!

I've a little problem: I published my first website successfully. But if
I call the extern URL ...:8080/opencms/opencms/ and click one of my
navigation links, tomcat shows me the content of the called directory
instead the template based website!? My nav.links link for example to
"....../opencms/news/".

I've deleted some of the index.html files and replaced them with new
index.jsp files. Calling a link where a index.html is placed in the
path, all works fine! Only where the index.jsp is placed I see the
directory content.

If I would have a related problem with the apache (perhaps with a
index.php) a would know, I've forgotten to add the startpage index.php
within the apache config.file httpd.conf. But the tomcat config
server.xml seems not to have an entry like the httpd.conf for the
startpages.

Or is this a problem with opencms?? Testing this in the offline preview,
all works fine! Feeling a bit confused :-?
Any idea? Any solution?

Best wishes!
Tol
