No this list is the right one. It's just that your timing is bad. 
 
The interface is currently being rewritten and so it's of no great value (well to me at least) to make changes in the 5.0 interface. Check out the CVS HEAD if you want to see the revised interface.

I'm getting the sense that this mailing list is only for questions related to installation and setup. It seems like no one knows anything about the core functionality - and how to modify the way that OpenCMS works. Is this safe to assume?
 
If this is the case, I would like to know if there's another mailing list that deals more with the underlying architecture of the product.
 
Over the last week I've posted several messages dealing with the architecture - how to change some of the behaviors of OpenCMS. If no one on this mailing list is trying to make these types of changes to the product, then I guess I'll need to find another list - or a group of people who are tying to do what I'm doing.
 
I think the product is great in terms of functionality, but many of our customers are complaining (very loudly) about the interface and usability.
 
Any thoughts or suggestions?
